While Iyer’s teammate Nitish Rana said it’s been there since their under-19 days, Iyer came up with a reply that left Cyrus and Rana in splits.
“Ye chidate the mujhe (they used to tease me),” said Iyer, looking at Nitish. “This is natural. Aisa nahi ke kisi to dekh ke maine kiya, aise hi chalta hu mai chhote se (it’s not that I copied anyone, I walk like this since my childhood),” said Iyer.
He added: “Shayad mere toes mei thoda bounce hai jiski wajah se aise lagta hai ke mai aise chal raha hu (maybe there is some bounce in my toes because of which my walk appears like that).”
The trio, including Iyer himself, couldn’t help but laugh out loud.
