Tura, April 16: A member of the Flying Squad Team (FST-1), was assaulted by unknown miscreants on Monday. The incident occurred when the team was returning from covering an election campaign at Bandarkona Krishi Field and Tikrikilla Hanuman Mandir compound.
The Officer in-charge of Tikrikilla Police Station has filed an FIR, and initiated an investigation into the matter .
The Executive Magistrate on duty sustained minor injuries. As per the initial probe by the Executive Magistrate the reports states that there was no involvement of any political party. The attack was not politically motivated.
