NEW DELHI: Congress General secretary Jairam Ramesh on Wednesday said that the party will finalise the candidates from Amethi and Rae Bareli for the Lok Sabha elections within 24 to 30 hours.
“In all probability it will be announced by tomorrow evening,” the Congress leader said at a briefing at Congress headquarters in Delhi.
Jairam also refuted the rumors circulating in social media platforms and said that any lists on names in circulation are fake.
Ramesh reiterated that Congress Election Committee has empowered party president Mallikarjun Kharge to take a decision on these two seats.
