KANPUR: Gearing up for a grand roadshow of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Kanpur on May 4, BJP has engaged over 2,000 cyber warriors to broadcast the event online.
“The idea is to take the show to the maximum number of people. We will organize the party’s social media volunteers’ conference and deploy 2,000 cyber warriors to take the roadshow to the people,” said BJP’s Govind Nagar MLA Surendra Maithani, who has been tasked with making arrangements for the event.
“Each warrior will be briefed about their responsibilities and the upcoming election strategy,” Maithani said, adding that PM Modi, who will start campaigning from Kanpur for the fourth phase of Lok Sabha elections, will pay obeisance at Kirtangarh Gurdwara in the city before his roadshow.
“The party workers are full of enthusiasm for the roadshow,” he said.
Modi will be in the city for over two hours on May 4. He will arrive at the Chakeri airport around 5pm on May 4. The PM will also hold an interaction with BJP functionaries of Kanpur-Bundelkhand region on the poll preparations.
He will reach Gumti by road via Zarib Chowki intersection, from where the roadshow will start. It will culminate at Khoya Mandi.
On Tuesday, encroachment was removed in the entire Gumti market. The roofs of tall buildings were also checked.
