As the countdown to the Lok Sabha elections in April-May intensifies, Bijnor Lok Sabha constituency in Uttar Pradesh emerges as a crucial battleground, marked by anticipation and strategic planning. The Election Commission of India has announced the final schedule for the Bijnor Lok Sabha elections, setting the stage for a riveting electoral contest.
Bijnor Lok Sabha constituency, one of the 80 parliamentary constituencies in Uttar Pradesh, boasts a significant electorate, with approximately 1,664,125 voters as per the 2019 Lok Sabha Election statistics.In the previous election, voter turnout stood at 66.22%, reflecting the active participation of the electorate in the democratic process.
Scheduled to go to polls on April 19 as part of Phase 1 of the electoral process, Bijnor constituents are eagerly awaiting the opportunity to exercise their franchise and shape the future of their constituency. The results for this pivotal electoral battle are slated to be announced on June 4, adding to the suspense and excitement surrounding the event.
In the upcoming elections, prominent candidates from various political parties are gearing up to contest for the coveted Lok Sabha seat in Bijnor. Vijendra Singh from the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) and Yashvir Singh from the Samajwadi Party (SP) stand out as key contenders vying for electoral victory.
In the previous Lok Sabha elections in 2019, Malook Nagar of the BSP emerged triumphant in the Bijnor constituency, securing 561,045 votes. Raja Bharatendra Singh of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) secured 491,104 votes in a closely contested race. The total voter turnout in the Bijnor constituency was recorded at 1,101,966 votes, underscoring the significance of active civic participation.
As the political temperature rises and campaign fervor grips the region, constituents in Bijnor are preparing to make informed decisions at the ballot box. With critical issues such as development, infrastructure, and governance at stake, voters are closely scrutinizing the electoral promises and agendas put forth by the contesting parties.
