The Jeffrey Archer Company and Dream Bay Entertainment have entered into a strategic partnership to adapt the bestselling author’s works for television and film internationally, with an initial focus on Indian, Asian and the Middle Eastern markets.

DBE was founded in 2023 by former Amazon Studios executive Thomas Drachkovitch. Former CAA agent Jason Hafford recently joined as co-founder and head of DBE Management.

Archer’s works have been published in 114 countries in more than 47 languages and with 275 million copies sold worldwide. As revealed by Variety, “Sex Education” producer Eleven and Sony Television International are adapting Archer’s bestselling “Kane and Abel” trilogy for television. Archer is also known for his Clifton Chronicles series of books and the William Warwick series.

Archer is a frequent visitor to India, where his books are huge bestsellers and his talks and readings are usually oversubscribed.

The titles that will be adapted under the partnership have not been revealed yet.

“This partnership represents an exhilarating opportunity to bring my stories to life for fans in India and the Middle East,” Archer said. “Teaming up with Thomas, Jason and Dream Bay Entertainment, known for their extensive regional expertise, enables us to approach these adaptations thoughtfully, respecting the vibrant cultural nuances and working with the best partners in the local markets. It’s a chance to infuse new life into stories already cherished by readers in these regions, and I can’t wait to work on them.”

Drachkovitch added: “Jason and I are thrilled to partner with the esteemed The Jeffrey Archer Company and bring these iconic stories to life for audiences in India and the Middle East, two of the fastest growing entertainment markets in the world. Our aim is to leverage local partnerships and expertise that honor Jeffrey’s works, while ensuring these stories are culturally relevant and authentically adapted to the highest standard.”
