Work on director Durai Saravanan‘s upcoming film, a horror comedy featuring actor Krishna in the lead, began on Friday with a traditional pooja ceremony in Chennai.
Sources close to the unit say that the film, tentatively titled Production No.1, marks the maiden production venture of EVEG Entertainment. Durai, who is directing the film, had earlier worked as an assistant director to filmmaker A Venkatesh.
Malayalam actress Adhiya Prasad of ‘Nizhal’ fame will play the female lead in the film, which will also feature a host of other actors including Maran, Imman Annachi, Aaditya Kathir, Chaams and director A Venkatesh. Debut actor Santhosh is to play the villain in this movie, which is yet-to-be-titled.
About The Film’s Technical Crew
S.R. Sathish Kumar, whose camera work in Peranmai, and Megamann won appreciation will be the cinematographer for this film, while Vijay Velukutty who had earlier worked in films like Valimai, Thunivu and Mark Antony is overseeing editing work and Srikanth Deva is composing music for this film. The film’s shooting commenced today and shooting will take place in and around Chennai.
