East India is expected to encounter a renewed episode of substantial rainfall starting on September 29th.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted light to moderate rainfall over Tamil Nadu until Saturday, along with coastal Andhra Pradesh on Tuesday and Saturday, coastal Karnataka and Kerala from Thursday through Saturday, and interior Karnataka on Friday and Saturday.

Beginning on September 29th, another round of heavy rain is predicted for East India. The southwest monsoon is also being withdrawn, according to the weather department. “Conditions are becoming favourable for further withdrawal of Southwest Monsoon from some more parts of northwest & adjoining western India during next 2-3 days,” IMD said.

The national capital is expected to experience mostly clear skies today, according to the Met Office. According to Skymet’s weather reports, some rain fell over the weekend in the capital. But the current forecast for Delhi and the National Capital Region (NCR) indicates that there won’t be any rain in the next days.

According to the meteorological department, till September 30, East India may have scattered thunderstorms, light to moderate rainfall, and lightning. Additionally, isolated periods of heavy rain are predicted for the Andaman and Nicobar Islands during this time, as well as for Odisha on the 29th and 30th and Jharkhand on the 30th. In particular, the Andaman and Nicobar Islands may experience isolated rainfall till September 30.

A stretch of rainy days is predicted in South India. Similar circumstances will be present in coastal Andhra Pradesh on the 26th and 30th, and in coastal Karnataka and Kerala from the 28th to the 30th. On September 29 and 30, there will probably be similar weather in interior Karnataka.

Between September 26 and September 29, over Konkan & Goa and Madhya Maharashtra, a period of mild to moderate rainfall, followed by thunderstorms and lightning, is forecast for Western India. On September 26, Marathwada will also be affected. Furthermore, isolated very heavy rainfall is quite likely to occur across Konkan & Goa on September 28.

Light to moderate widespread to widespread rainfall, thunderstorms, and lightning are expected in Central India. On September 30th, specifically, Chhattisgarh is predicted to see these circumstances.
