CISCE ICSE 10th, ISC 12th Result 2024 Out: The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) today released the results for the Indian School Certificate (ISC) and Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) exams. Students can now check their scorecards at the official website — cisce.org.
The overall pass percentage of ICSE students is 99.47% while of ISC is 98.19%. A total of 2,43,617 students appeared for their ICSE exam of which 2,42,328 passed. As many as 1,30,506 boys cleared their ICSE exam while 1,13,111 passed their ISC exam. The passing percentage of boys is 53.57 % while girls are at 46.43 %.
Similarly, in the ISC exam, 99,901 appeared of which 98,088 passed. Of these 52,765 are boys and 47,136 are girls. Unlike other boards, where mostly girls outshone boys, in the CISCE exams, boys have outnumbered girls scoring 52.82 % while girls got 47.18%.
In the ICSE exam, 2695 schools participated, with 82.48% (2223) schools achieving a 100% pass percentage. As per CISCE, there were 2503 examination centres and 709 evaluation centres for this exam.
While in the ISC examination, of the 1366 schools, about 66.18% (904) schools got a 100% pass percentage. The ISC exam had 1285 exam centres and 887 evaluation centres.
In the ICSE exams, girls have outperformed boys scoring 99.65% while boys achieved a pass percentage of 99.31%. Similarly, in the ISC exams, the girls achieved a pass percentage of 98.92% and boys scored a pass percentage of 97.53%.
In class 10, the best-performing schools abroad are from Indonesia, Singapore and Dubai with a 100 per cent pass percentage. In class 12, the best-performing schools are from Singapore and Dubai. The ICSE examination (class 10) was conducted in 60 written subjects of which 20 were Indian languages, 13 were foreign languages and one classical language.
The ISC examination (class 12) was conducted in 47 written subjects of which 12 were Indian languages, four foreign languages and two classical languages.
For ISC, the exams began on February 12 and concluded on April 4. They were conducted in 28 days.
In 2023, 98.94 per cent students cleared the ICSE exams and 96.93 per cent students passed the ISC exams. Last year too, girls performed better in both classes. 99.21 per cent girls passed in ICSE while 98.71 per cent boys passed in ICSE exams. In ISC, 98.01 per cent girls passed while 95.96 per cent boys passed in exams.
Last year in ISC, South secured the highest pass percentage with 99.20 per cent, followed by West with 98.34 per cent. East region secured 96.63 per cent followed by north at 96.51 per cent. In ICSE, West region secured the highest pass percentage with 99.81 per cent followed by South region with 99.69 per cent. North region secured 98.65 per cent and East region secured 98.47 per cent.
A year before that, in 2022, a total of 18 students had earned the first rank and CISCE had reported an overall pass percentage of 99.38 per cent in ISC exams 2022. Girls had outshined boys, with a pass percentage of 99.52 per cent, while boys secured 99.26 per cent.
