The Indo-Russian Education Summit 2024 has a number of novel attractions.

New Delhi: Rossotrudnichestvo, in collaboration with the Embassy of Russia in India, Russian House & Rus Education, is hosting this year’s edition of the Indo-Russian Education Summit in New Delhi from April 11 to 13. This landmark event aims to foster collaboration and facilitate invaluable exchanges between educational institutes in Russia and India.

“It is the first such event of this scale. The Russian House and the Moscow-based Rossotrudnichestvo, the state agency for education for affairs of Russian nationals abroad with the help of the Russian Embassy in India, are staging a multi-faceted and dynamic three-day educational summit in New Delhi,” says Dr. Dinesh Singla, Director of Rus Education.

Over the course of three days, the Indo-Russian Education Summit will present a unique opportunity for leading Indian educational institutions and esteemed Russian universities to participate in thought-provoking discussions and exchanges. The summit promises to be a vibrant meeting place for creativity and intellect, with a wide range of events.

Victor Gorelykh, Head of Education Cooperation Department, Russian House, elaborates, “Russia is trying to attract more and more Indian students, especially in times when the West is almost practically closing its doors on Russia. The government of Russia is very serious about promoting education as one of the models for improving international relations. Our universities are all government-backed universities with good infrastructure.”

Power summit

The summit’s centrepiece will be the notable attendance of four Deputy Ministers from the Russian Federation, each of whom represents a critical area including science and technology, energy, social and economic development, and education.

This distinguished involvement highlights both countries’ steadfast dedication to strengthening cooperation across a range of fields, further solidifying the close relations between Russia and India.

In addition, 104 distinguished participants from 51 elite universities around the Russian Federation will grace the summit with their presence. Twenty one of them, the Chancellor, and 12 of the Vice Chancellors, along with other guests, will lend the occasion a great deal of academic gravitas and distinction, enhancing the conversation with their deep knowledge and understanding.

Incentives for students

The Russian Federation has made an announcement that will have a significant impact on the educational system: 500 free scholarship seats in a wide range of courses, including medical sciences, engineering, nuclear science, aviation, management, aerospace, and more.

This selfless effort demonstrates Russia’s unwavering dedication to provide Indian students with unmatched educational possibilities. Furthermore, Rus Education promises scholarships of Rs 40 lakh, enhancing access to high-quality education for worthy applicants.

The expo will feature a variety of courses from Russian universities, such as MBBS, engineering, nuclear science, aviation, management, aerospace, and many more. This presents an exceptional chance for Indian students to interact with representatives from Russian universities directly and have first-hand knowledge about the range of educational options accessible to them.

The Indo-Russian Education Summit 2024 is slated to be a game-changing event in the field of global education, offering Indian students a ray of hope and enlightenment.
