The Swiss Learning event in Mumbai was a comprehensive showcase of Switzerland’s renowned educational offerings

Swiss Learning, in collaboration with 10 renowned Swiss Schools, recently concluded a dynamic showcase event at St. Regis in Mumbai, themed ‘Discover the World of Swiss Education’. The event, held on February 1, 2024, the event highlighted the diverse opportunities available at Swiss summer and winter camps, which offer intensive language courses, a wide range of sports, arts and film activities, adventures and excursions, robotics and programming, leadership training, SAT prep, and specialty camps with professionals from various fields. It attracted a large number of students aged 8 to 17, along with their families, highlighting the growing interest in Switzerland’s educational offerings.

Graced by esteemed dignitaries including Martin Maier, Consul General of Switzerland in Mumbai, and Christophe Xavier Clivaz, Founder & Director of Swiss Learning, the occasion celebrated the synergy between the two nations in the field of education.

The Swiss Excellence Award was presented to Yash Raj Films, recognizing their longstanding partnership with Switzerland and dedication to promoting Swiss excellence. Akshaye Widhani, CEO of Yash Raj Films, accepted the award on behalf of the organization.

A highlight of the event was the exclusive Masterclass titled ‘Discover your Leadership Superpower’, led by Stuart White, Principal of College Alpin Beau Soleil. This interactive session delved into essential skills such as time management, emotional intelligence, leadership, decision-making, problem-solving, and creativity, empowering students to unlock their full potential. This masterclass, focused on leadership skills, was part of a broader schedule that included presentations on Swiss educational excellence, a panel discussion, and the Swiss Learning Excellence Awards’ Ceremony.

The event featured a competition where students had the chance to win a summer or winter camp in Switzerland by attending the masterclass and excelling in their application and performance during the session. Winners were chosen based on their applications and their engagement in the Leadership Masterclass, with Alisha Rajpal, a student from Mumbai, emerging victorious and winning a coveted summer camp experience at Aiglon College. The prize, presented by Martin Maier and Christophe Xavier Clivaz, further underscored the opportunities for education offered by Swiss institutions.

Reflecting on the event’s success, Christophe Xavier Clivaz emphasized Switzerland’s growing prominence as a hub for research, education, and innovation. He noted the increasing trend of Indian students seeking educational excellence in Switzerland, with over 100 students making the journey annually.

The event featured participation from prestigious Swiss schools, including Aiglon College, Institut auf dem Rosenberg, Brillantmont International School, La Garenne, Collège du Léman, Leysin American School, Collège Alpin Beau Soleil, Lyceum Alpinum Zuoz, Institut Montana Zugerberg, and The American School in Switzerland (TASIS).

The evening not only emphasized the academic excellence associated with Swiss education but also showcased the holistic development opportunities these institutions provide, ensuring a well-rounded educational experience for students.​
